# WISE Token

WISE is the ultimate neutral reserve asset of DeFi.

## The  Founder's Vision for WISE:

"My ultimate vision is to preserve and protect WISE's neutral status, while driving awareness to the point where other companies champion WISE in a bigger way than I ever could, like Michael Saylor did for BTC, and Tom Lee is doing for ETH.

## WISE TGE History:

WISE was launched in Nov-Dec 2020 using a fair and open [auction event that raised 57,900 ETH](https://legacy.wisetoken.net/reservations) in token sales. 55,900 of this ETH was used to create a massive WISE/ETH trading pair on Uniswap, which was then [locked by burning the LP ownership tokens](https://etherscan.io/token/0x21b8065d10f73ee2e260e5b47d3344d3ced7596e?a=0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000#tokenAnalytics). This established a price floor in ETH, and created a deep and permanent liquidity pool for buying or selling WISE. 

Traditional tokens create massive inflation that funds airdrops and/or pads APY on DeFi platforms to attract users and grow TVL. This has been a wildly successful way to bootstrap new users in the short term, but it always comes at great future economic cost. **WISE does not have any sort of dilution like this, and we're happy to build growth slowly and organically**. 

## WISE is the Ultimate Neutral Reserve Asset:

* **Decentralized/Well-distributed -** Most tokens have large team treasuries and insider allocations, but WISE's 100% fair launch created a fully diluted and well dispersed supply. * **Appreciating vs ETH** - Being correlated with ETH provides a strong baseline value in ETH, but the possibility to appreciate vs. ETH comes from buying WISE off Uniswap (using revenue) and burning it out of existence.

As increasing revenue fuels WISE's buy-and-burn flywheel, we believe other projects will start to recognize the value of WISE as a neutral reserve asset, and join us in accumulating, holding, and even burning WISE via the Burn Alliance. Additionally, we believe projects will start pairing their liquidity on Uniswap with WISE instead of just ETH, a simple and low-risk move that allows anyone to piggyback on the value we create with our Burn Alliance coalition.
